Courage?

How is professing you are “Gay” an example of courage?

Mr. Obama called an NBA player who openly professed he is Gay, “to express his support and said he was impressed by his courage,” and his wonderful wife Michelle Obama tweeted that Collins’s announcement is “a huge step forward for our country.”

I don’t think this is the “Hope” or “Change” the voters were looking for when they elected Mr. Obama. Then again, maybe it is.

Whatever you want to call it, it is most certainly not an example of courage nor a step forward for America.

I gave in and took the bait, hook, line and sinker for this crazy game my wife and her friends are playing on Facebook.

That’s Not Scriptural

On person says God help’s those who help themselves, another replies, that’s not scriptural.

It’s interesting how sayings will stick in our head that are passed down from someone, but aren’t actually true. The bible teaches just the opposite, as God helps the helpless. The saying originated from Ben Franklin when he wrote it in Poor Richards Almanac many years ago.

Thank goodness God helps everyone, including me; I need it.
